David Ross Obituary

David F. Ross, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away at 11:30 p.m., February 7, 2019, at Altenheim Family First Senior Living.

David was born on August 12, 1935, Indianapolis, the son of Leon F. and Rosemary (Lautif) Ross.  He married Janet Fyffe on August 28, 1953, in Indianapolis.  She preceded him in death on February 14, 2017.

He is survived by four daughters- Theresa (Francis) Palmer of Daytona Beach, Florida, Pamela (Michael) Zoellner of Beech Grove, Cheryl Callahan of Indianapolis and Rita (Brian) Cherry of Beech Grove; son- Michael (Tammy) Ross of Greenwood; two sisters- Diana (John) Gregory of Indianapolis and Judith Delgado of Arizona; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

David worked for several years as the warehouse manager at Allied Grocers.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching his grandchildren play sports.

According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded by the Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. National Avenue, Indianapolis.  There are not any services scheduled at this time.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Memories or photos may be shared with the family on David’s everlasting memorial page at: www.ChanceFuneralHome.com.
