Donald Lee Sawyer

Donald Lee Sawyer, 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

Donald was born on January 22, 1933 in Brown County, Indiana, the son of Evin Sawyer and Mary Shaw (Reed).  Donald married his loving wife, Betty Lue Sawyer (Wilson) on August 26, 1953.  She preceded him in passing on March 26, 2007

Donald was a self-employed mechanic.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by, Daughter; Patricia J. Kincer (James), Sons; Allen L. Sawyer (Debbie Sue), David W. Sawyer (Frances), Steven D. Sawyer (Kristi) and Thomas E. Sawyer (Carla), Brother Norman Shaw, Sisters; Thelma Ditchley and Christine McCurdy, sixteen Grandchildren and twenty-seven Great-Grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in passing by his parents, four Sisters and two Brothers.

Funeral services honoring his life will be held at the Norman F. Chance Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev Timothy Ditchley officiating the service.  Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  Donald will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Round Hill Cemetery where he will be given Military Honors.
