Elsie May Hamilton

Elsie May Hamilton, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Methodist Hospital.
Ms. Hamilton was born on March 2, 1925, in Knightstown, Indiana, the daughter of Everett and Mamie (Dilkes) Hamilton.
She is survived by two sisters- Betty Lou Coffman and Pauline Clouse both of Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister- Katherine Hamilton.
Elsie worked for several years at Geo. J. Mayer, until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, watching old westerns and reading her Bible every day.
A Celebration of Elsie May Hamilton’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Following the funeral services Ms. Hamilton will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. The family has entrusted the Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service to assist them in honoring Elsie’s life.
