Sharon Kay (May) Dobbs

Sharon Kay Dobbs, 77, of Beech Grove, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at St. Francis Health.

Mrs. Dobbs was born on March 15, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Albert and Genevieve ( Turner) May.  She married Albert Dobbs on June 20, 1980, in Indianapolis.  He preceded her in death on May 9, 2018.

She is survived by three daughters- Barbara Paulson, Annette (Charles) Collins and Jasmine Dobbs; two sons- Albert Dobbs Jr. and Sam Dobbs; twelve grandchildren- Genevieve, Tia, Ashley, Johnny, Sonny, Davy, Lenny, Megan, Kayla, Isabela, Jasmine and Seth; nine great-grandchildren; one brother- Buck (Sue) May; and one sister- Bobby Spellman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Tabby Collins, three brothers and six sisters.

Sharon worked for several years as a CNA at Forest Creek Village and as a bartender at Bar 52.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, shopping and taking care of others.

A Celebration of Sharon Kay Dobbs life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home, 504 E. National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana.  She will be laid to rest following the services in New Crown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  The family has entrusted the Norman F.
