Barbara Joan (Bidlack) Simpson

Barbara Joan Bidlack Simpson, 87 of Indianapolis, passed away on July 7, 2022.

Barbara was born on April 23, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert Welsh Bidlack, and Dorotha Pearl VanDoran Wert Bidlack, and then moved to Indianapolis in 1937.

Barb (B.J.) graduated from Southport High School, Hanover College, and Butler University. She dearly loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and believed he died on the cross for her sins, was buried, and on the third day was resurrected.

Barb was proud to be the wife of Leslie James (Jim) Simpson. She loved all of her family unconditionally, and will be elated when she abides in Heaven and can continue her prayers for her family and friends. She cherished her family and friends and the wonderful times and memories, and appreciated greatly the life she shared with each and every one of them.

Barb is survived by her husband, Leslie James (Jim) Simpson; her daughter, Rebecca Brown; son, James R. Brown; granddaughter, Allison Joan West; step-daughters, Michelle Simpson Barrow, Jennifer (Rick) Kerr; step-granddaughters, Melissa (Daren) Hemingway, Mindy Kerr, Stacey Kerr, and Christina Blair.

She was proceeded in death by her step-daughter, Deborah Simpson Blair, and her brother, Robert Wert Bidlack.

Funeral Services for Barb will be held at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 5:30 p.m..

Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at 5:30 p.m..

Private Cremation and Inurnment will follow the service.
