Bertrand F Frentress
Bertrand “Bert” F Frentress, 85, of Indianapolis IN peacefully passed away at home on August 29th. He was preceded in death by parents Norman and Wilma Frentress and wife Tamara L Frentress.
Bert worked for Indianapolis Power Light 44 years as a line man, dispatcher and Supervisor. He was a hardworking, loving and giving man. "Shirt of his back" would be an understatement. Bert touched so many lives with his enormous charm, magnetic personality and quality sense of humor. He loved spending time with family and friends, tinkering with clocks, woodworking and would lure anyone who’d listen to a fishing story or two.
Brother Bert laid down his working tools after 64 1/2 years. He was raised on Jan 31st, 1959, at the age of 21. Influenced by his Grandparents William (Master Mason) and Elizabeth (Eastern Star) Addington, he followed in their footsteps. DeMolay as a young man in Fountain Square, Master Mason and member of the #270 Southport Masonic Lodge. A society he felt strongly about. One Life Lived, Many Lives Touched!
He is survived by his 5 children, Michael Frentress, Rhonda (Ronnie) Hampton, Jamie, John (Kala) Frentress and Michelle Asher. Five Grandchildren, Amanda, Benjamin, Adalyn, Max and Jake Frentress and four Great Grandchildren Cameron, Kylie, Carley and Korbin; Sister, Claudette (Bill) Connell of Franklin, Indiana and brother Farrell (Doris) Frentress of Lake Geneva, WI.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children. An organization that touched Berts heart.
There will be a “private burial” service for family on Friday, Sept 8th at the Gardens at Olive Branch in Greenwood IN. In honoring Bert, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept 9th Noon-4pm at O'Gara's Irish Pub, 510 Main Street, Beech Grove IN. The family welcomes Bert's Community of friends, family and anyone who was touched by his joy, contagious laughter and presence.
