Charles (“Eddie”) Edward Johnson born August 16, 1981, left this earth far too soon on June 14, 2024, in his home at the young age of 42.

Eddie was born and raised in Beech Grove, Indiana to Charles and Teresa Johnson. He also attended Beech Grove High School and was well known in “The Grove” by many.

Forever the life of the party, Eddie loved spending time with those he cherished most. A cookout with family, friends, food, and good music? You bet Eddie was the first to arrive and the last to leave. He loved sports, Sunday breakfast at Grandma Furgason’s house and animals, especially his dogs, Reece & Tank and cat, Lucky. He had unique hobbies such as collecting sports cards, specifically basketball and loved looking up and finding old misprinted/double printed and rare coins.

When Eddie wasn’t with family or friends, you’d be able to find him working at Goodwill Outlet where his hard work earned him Employee of the Month not once, but twice.

He is survived by his loving mother Teresa Johnson (John Crister), sister Jazmine Antonio (Rickey Boehm), brothers Michael Wildman and Anthony Johnson, son Warren Blake Johnson, uncles Carl Furgason, Alvey Furgason, Bobby Johnson, Rod Johnson, Tim Johnson and David Johnson, aunts Mamie Berry, Cynthia Furgason and Becky Johnson, nephews Nolan Tunny and Jeremiah Collins, niece Kylie Collins and many first and second cousins.

Eddie was proceeded in death by his father Charles Eddie Johnson, grandfathers & grandmothers Carl and Dorothy Furgason & Ramsey (Sr) and Shirley Johnson, former partner and mother of their child, Amanda Mann, cousins Carl Furgason, Tabatha Cook and Courtney Johnson.

While we mourn the loss of Eddie’s life, we are all left with wonderful memories that will never fade from our hearts.  In lieu of a funeral, the family will have a celebration of life for Charles Edward Johnson at a future date to ensure everyone has the chance to share heartfelt memories and say their goodbyes.
