Danica ''Dani" Sylvia June (Stolfa) Scott

Danica Sylvia June Scott (Stolfa), born June 28, 1930, went to be with the Lord Monday August 14, 2023, at the age of 93 years.  She was known by friends and family as Dani or Grani Dani.  Dani was born in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Leo and Antonia Stolfa. Mr. and Mrs. Stolfa immigrated from Slovenia in 1922. She attended Morrison Waite High School in Ohio and graduated at the age of 16 years old. Her education included an associate degree in business administration.  Danica started her career as an x-ray technician and later retired as a receptionist with the Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office in 2004.  In retirement, Dani enjoyed visiting lighthouses with her friends and collecting replicas of each lighthouse.  She also loved animals.  She spent her time caring for and feeding cats and birds. 

Danica is survived by her children Lee Ann Johnson (Calvin) and William Anthony (Tony) Scott II along with grandchildren Dustin Scott Johnson, Jasmine Christina Lee Johnson, and Chloe Johnson and step grandson Derek Wilham (Ashaki).  Her family includes Stepdaughter Karen Haveman (Roger), their children Robert (Carolyn) Haveman, Randy Haveman, Kristine Althouse (Mark) and Roger John Haveman (Jessica) and many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.

Danica’s calling will be held at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home, 504 East National Ave.  Indianapolis, IN. 46227 on Monday August 21, 2023, from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm. Graveside services  will be held on Tuesday August 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Lange, officiating, On line condolences maybe offered at chancefuneralhome.com.
