David J. Bean

David J. Bean, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Franciscan Health.

David was born on January 4, 1953, in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Elsie (Stephens) Bean.   He married Barbara Jones on February 24, 1990, in Indianapolis.  She survives.

He is survived by two step-daughters- Rebecca Fidler and Christy Ratliff both of Indianapolis; four step-sons- Marvin Fidler of Oregon, David Fidler of Indianapolis, Matthew Fidler of Indianapolis and Rob (Diane) Whitlow of New York; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother- Leonard (Rebecca) Bean of Illinois; and one sister- Iris Valentine of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-Marie Elizabeth Bean, and granddaughter- Megan Ratliff.

David worked as a truck driver.  He enjoyed watching TV, going out to eat and attending church functions.

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at New Life Tabernacle, 1609 E. Norton, Indianapolis.  He will be laid to rest in New Crown Cemetery following the service.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, at the church.  Memorials may be made to the family.  The family has entrusted the Norman F.
