Debra (Debbie) Ann Spears, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on January 6, 1954, on the Southside of Indianapolis, she was a proud graduate of Manual High School and a devoted member of Beulah Lighthouse Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Spears, who passed on November 29, 2015. After years of love and devotion they finally tied the knot in 2000. She was also preceded by her siblings, Sharon Clayton, Steve Nuckles, and Mike Nuckles. Sharon was not only a beloved sister but also Debbie’s lifelong confidante. Steve, known for his warmth and humor, held a special place in her heart. Mike, the baby, was always loved and remembered until his passing.  

Debbie’s life was filled with love, faith, and creativity. She found joy in gardening, praying, crafting, and interior design, but nothing meant more to her than spending time with her beloved family. Her warm spirit and generous heart left an unforgettable mark on everyone she met.

Debbie is survived by her loving sons, Gary Lee Miller Jr. and Jason L. Miller, who were her greatest blessings. She devoted her life to raising them with love, strength, and unwavering support, instilling in them the values of integrity, compassion, and resilience.

She was also a proud grandmother to seven cherished grandchildren and her two precious great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored beyond measure. She found immense joy in watching them grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and sharing in their laughter. Whether through her warm hugs, thoughtful advice, or homemade crafts, she always made sure they knew how deeply they were loved. 

Debbie’s love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those she held dear.

Funeral Service for Debbie will be 1:00 p.m, Thursday, March 6, 2025, with calling from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227

Debbie’s unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and kindness touched many lives. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Rest in peace, Debbie. You are home now.
