Dennis Mark Jones Sr. 

Mr. Dennis Mark Jones Sr was born December 13, 1949, to the late William & Loretta (Dunn) Jones in Indianapolis In. He was the second oldest child (Carol, Dennis Sr, William, Bonnie & Lonnie).  Dennis received his education in the Indianapolis Public School System. Dennis was united in holy matrimony on August 21, 1967, to Janet Darlene Bryant and from that union they created two caring sons Dennis Mark Jones Jr and Daniel Robert Jones. Dennis joined the United States Army where he was stationed at Ft. Wainwright in Fairbanks Alaska and where he received an honorable discharge in 1972. Dennis worked for National Starch Chemical Company as a mechanic for 35 years retiring in 2011. Dennis was an active & dedicated member of the American Legion Post 355 where he served in several capacities from Sgt. Of Arms to Second Vice and, he was an active member of the American Legion Riders Post 355. Dennis accepted Christ into his life at an early age and recently rededicated his commitment by being baptized. He was an active member of the Vineyard Community Church of Greenwood Indiana.  Dennis had a passion for fishing, gardening, riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends. 

Dennis Mark Jones Sr. departed this earthly life on Friday, August 12, 2022, peacefully at his home with his loved ones around him. He leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful, caring, and devoted wife, Janet Jones; sons, Dennis M. Jones Jr (Nicole), Daniel R. Jones, seven grandchildren; Candace (Lindsay), Mykal, Heather, London, Savanna, Cheyenne, Dylan, Three Great Grandchildren; River, Jayhue, and Olive; Two Fur-Babies, Zoey and Henry, One Grand Fur-Baby, Rascal, and One Great Grand Fur-Baby, Dill. His four Siblings, two sisters-in-law, and three brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. We the family, wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many comforting prayers, phone calls, text-messages, cards, words of encouragement and meals and treats that were given for our family during this time. Your expression of love, kindness, and concern have been truly a blessing to us, and we thank you.
