Ernest "Ernie" Otto Moon

Ernest Otto Moon 67, of Indianapolis passed away at his residence on November 12, 2024. He was born May 9, 1957, in Indianapolis to the late Earl and Lillian (Faucet) Moon.  He had been employed with Dollar General. He enjoyed yard work and tinkering in his garage. He was happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren. He was known to enjoy an ice-cold Budweiser.

Ernest was blessed with a large loving family. He is survived by his beloved companion of eighteen years Mitzi Hernandez, his children Donald Moon Sr. (Johanna Moon), BJ Moon, Ernest Moon (Jessica Casper), Brandie Posey, Buddy Moon, Spring Serrano and Lindell Brown, twenty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Vicki Couch, Donna Bolton and Jackie Moon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by brothers Larry Moon and Kevin Moon, Everett Moon and Thomas "Tommy" Moon.

Funeral Service for Ernest will be 1:30p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227 with calling from 12:00pm until the time of service. Interment will take place at New Crown Cemetery.
