I met" Mert" a few times when I worked for Christie Machine a couple of summers. He was just a young kid and I knew Elmer and "Humpty" much more.. I just wanted to express my condolences to the family.

I lived across from Gary for 14 years. I was just a kid starting out in life and we used to be thick as thieves for many years, along with his brother Jack. There wasn't a day that went by that we didn't hang out before I moved away.  My heart goes out to all his family.

I remember Mert babysitting me and my brother Greg when we were kids. He would fix pizzas for us and tell jokes. We will all miss our uncle Mert!
