Irene May (McQueen) Jordan 57, of Indianapolis passed May 14, 2025. Irene lived with a passion to take care of others and always help where it was needed, working made her thrive. She worked for everything in her life and for everything for her family and loved to cook and serve, she also enjoyed boating and camping with her family on the weekends, taking her jet ski on the water, she also enjoyed hunting deer with her big brother Floyd, Also one of her favorite thing to do on Saturday morning would be to go to the casino with Grandma Ann and they always scratched lottery tickets together! She was full of life and always wanted to live it to the fullest. She also loved to hang out with her grandsons and her new grand baby Daylyn, one more of her favorite things to do to get out the house she loved to go to concerts with her daughter Jazlyn. Her family kept her moving & she was the strongest woman we knew. She was the glue to this family, and we are all so lost that she is gone but we know she is in heaven with her mom and dad and her other daughter dancing in the sky.
She is survived by her daughter Jazlyn Hornaday, her life partner John Hornaday, grandchildren Emoni Hornaday, Emarion Hornaday and Daylyn Bridgman, and her best friend Grandma Ann, and her siblings Katherine/Darlene Soto, Floyd McQueen and Richard McQueen. She was preceded in passing by her daughter Nikki Hornaday, her parents Harry and Wanda.
