James Rhea Gary, 65, passed away at his residence in Greenwood, Indiana, on October 20, 2022. James was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on July 1, 1957, to the late Ellis Nelson and Patricia Ann (Hawkins) Gary. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. James enjoyed antiquing, auctions and flea markets. James was an avid football fan of college and NFL games, especially the Indianapolis Colts. James married his wife Bonnie Jean (White) Gary on June 14, 2018 in Franklin, Indiana.
James is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Jean son: James Rhea (Tiffany Lynn) Gary, II of Shelbyville, daughters: Amanda Wilson, Amy Willert and Andrea Gary;
four grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings: Cindy Pettijohn, Mary Breeck, Dennis Gary, Jeannie Fisher, Janice Gary, Harry Gary, Nelson Gary, Elaine Romanchik and Ellis Gary. James was preceded in passing by his parents and sister Rebecca Hutchens.
Funeral service for James will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26,2022 at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227 with calling from 11:00, until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana with Military Honors.
