James Donald Wilson Jr.

James Donald Wilson Jr. of Indianapolis passed away February 17, 2022, at Indiana University Hospital. He was 67.

He was born on October 29, 1954, in Indianapolis to the late James Donald Wilson Sr. and Patricia J. (Gluff) Wilson.

He was retired from Vinyl Craft as a flooring installer. He was a devoted and faithful member of Emmanuel Church in Greenwood, and he never missed a Sunday worship service. He was also a member of the Circle City Conservation Club.

A man of many interests he was known to be a rider of Harley Davidson Motorcycles, admirer of cars and trucks, fan of country and western style music, especially Toby Keith and an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Nascar especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. (RIP 3). He spent every Sunday with his brothers at Jerry’s watching those beloved Colts or catching the weeks Nascar race. Above all, he was a devoted man of the Christian Faith and most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

James is survived by his children; James M. Wilson (Jennifer) and Ryan J. Wilson (Rachel Green), siblings; Terri Davidson (Terry), Jerry Wilson (Linda Wallace), Ronald Wilson, and Susan Wilson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his maternal grandmother Pauline Gibson.

Services for James will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service with calling from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
