Joseph "Joe" Valenti Obituary

Joe Valenti was born on July 25, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away February 14, 2024, after a brief illness. He is survived by his husband, Ronald J. Castor, five children: Jane C. Bennett (Mike), Kathleen M. Valenti, Joseph L. Valenti, III, Paul R. Valenti, Jaime L. Valenti, and two grandsons: Derek Whittet (Niqkee) and Nick Winship (Jessica). He was preceded in death by parents, Olga (Osol) Valenti and Joseph Valenti, Sr., wife, Arlene Rose (Brick) Valenti, wife, Jo Ann (Naetzel) Valenti, and brother, Anthony Valenti and sister-in-law, Jean (Kelman) Valenti.

Joe Joined the Air Force in 1954 and retired in 1974 as Major. He then pursued another career with, and retired from, the IRS. Since that time, Joe has always worked. Most currently, he has been working at the Masonic Temple Headquarters. Joe loved this job and his fellow employees. Joe completed his B.S. in Criminal Justice at I.U.P.U.I. He was an avid reader and highly recommends Fortunate Pilgrim by Mario Puzo. Joe, also, was very proud of his Master Gardener training and frequently flaunted his knowledge. Joe, his smile, and good sense of humor will be missed by his family and many, many, many friends.

Inurnment Service with USAF Military Honors in conjunction with American Legion Post 252 Honor Guard of Greenwood, Indiana will take place at Crown Hill National Cemetery, 725 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208 on Friday, April 12,2024 at 2.00pm.
