Family Tribute

Kathy White, age 68, A loving grandmother, mother, and wife, passed away on July 10,2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on October 15, 1955, in Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of Gus Herman Tooley and Evelyn Matilda Tooley. Kathy grew up surrounded by her family, including her sisters Janie and Becky, and brother Charles Tooley. Influenced by her family's kindness and care, she became a kind-hearted and caring woman, always giving her time to others. In 1973, while attending Manual High School, Kathy met Joe, the love of her life. They fell in love and married on March 9, 1974. Shortly after, they welcomed their only child, Joseph White Jr. Kathy was a devoted mother, making a commitment to be at every baseball game, bowling match, and important life event. This tradition of unwavering support continued when Kathy became a grandmother to three beautiful treasures: Mariah, Autumn, and Madison. When she wasn’t cheering on her grandkids at their sporting events, Kathy enjoyed being outside, working around the yard, and spending time her dogs Blake and Bandit.

Kathy is survived by her husband Joesph Sr., her son Joseph(Angela)White Jr., her granddaughters Mariah, Autumn, and Madison and her sister Becky. She was a unique and caring individual who touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 2-6pm for those who would like to support the family. The location for the celebration will be Garfield Park Pool Shelter.
