Martha Bernice Jent, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Madison Health Care Center, in Indianapolis.
Martha was born on June 18, 1928, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Edward and Sally (Logsdon) Denney. She is survived by one daughter- Brenda (John) Mills of Greenwood; five sons- Randy (Jenny) Jent of Clearwater, Florida, Jack Jent of Indianapolis, John (Angela) Pond of Greentown, Indiana, Jeff (Lori) Pond of Greenwood and Gib (Cheri) Pond of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters- Jeanette Haggard of Indianapolis and Sandy (Keith) Roark of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Martha enjoyed doing laundry, cooking, watching soap operas, listening to country music and reading the Bible. She was also a past breast cancer survivor.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Greenwood. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association. The family has entrusted the Norman F. Chance Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Martha’s life.
