Mary Joan (Baugh) Jones

Mary Jones (Baugh) passed away peacefully in Martinsville, Indiana on December 1, 2024 at the age of 80 years old.

Mary is survived by her daughter Linda Hawkins and son Richard (Linda) Hawkins, her grandchildren, Mike Hawkins, Jamie Nogle (Cooper), and Richie Hawkins. Mary has five great grandchildren, all girls, Kenzie, Haleigh, Emily, Lyndsay Pearl, and Mikayla Hawkins. She is also survived by her siblings Dianne Hawk, Michael Baugh and Jackie Morgan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Russell Baugh and Catherine (Miller) Baugh, her husband James Jones, and by her brother Norman Baugh and her sisters Patricia Vanderford and Sue Baugh. 

Her family remembers her as a generous person that was always willing to help family, friends and strangers alike. She loved spending her weekends with her husband at their weekend retreat at Lake Melissa where they could escape life in the city and spend time with their family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Waters of Martinsville, especially Odette Smith, for the care they provided and the efforts to make her end-of-life journey as peaceful as possible.

Her funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024. Visitation will be from 11am to 2pm with the funeral service at 2pm at Norman F Chance Funeral Home located at 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
