Obituary
Nannie Alford 92, of Indianapolis passed away August 8, 2023. She was born August 2, 1931 in Manchester, Kentucky to the late Alex Roger and Crecy (Roark) Roger. Nannie was a homemaker and was a loving matriarch. Nannie volunteered for twelve years stocking shelves at Wheeler Mission.
Nannie is survived by her son Eric Alford (Penny), and lots of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in passing by her daughter Joann Gwinn, sons Bobby Dean Hoskins and Michael Hoskins, sisters Flora Bashears, Betty Jean Rogers, Bessie Hensley, Dellamay Amonette and Sarah Rogers, brothers John Rogers, Taylor Rogers, and Irvin Rogers and grandson Fred McMillan.
Service for Nannie will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Monday (8/14) from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Final Care and Arrangements by Grinsteiner Funeral Home.
