Patricia "Patty" Parker Obituary

Patricia Ann Parker (Patty) of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away June 22, 2025 at Methodist hospital at the age of 62. Patricia was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward August Parker and Charleen Mae Bauler (Wisniewski) on November 20, 1962.

Patricia or (patty) as she was known by family and friends had previously been employed at Decatur township school and AYS. She had been a security guard at secure tech. Additionally, she rang the bell for the salvation army. Patty was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic church in Indianapolis, In. She had a love for playing slots games and going to the casino, playing lottery, and collecting Tupperware.  She had a passion for family time; playing Wii bowling and gazing upon mountain ranges. Between meals some of her favorite snacks were heath candy bars, cookies and cream ice cream and Cheetos. She loved horses and the color green. She loved various tv shows such as Family Feud, Reba, Golden girls, Roseanne, and Mash. She loved Garfield comics and movies. Her favorite sports teams the Chicago cubs and Chicago bears gave her plenty of joy. Family was everything to her, and their memories will live on forever! Some of their most cherished memories were cookouts, bingo, card games, sporting events, holiday celebrations, or just simple family hangouts.

Patty is survived by soulmate Ronnie Hood.

Her daughters Audra Weaver, Victoria Parker, and Olivia Parker (Rick).

Grandchildren Rita Jones, Travis Jones, Alexander Weaver, Landyn Grable, Nevaeh Grable, and Ricky Grable.

 She was a loving sister to siblings (sister)Marie Fobes, (brothers)Edward Parker, Joseph Parker, James Parker (Robbie), (sister & best friend) Lenora Grable, and (brother) Vern Parker. Patty is also survived by step children Crystal & Rene Hood. Several step grandchildren, nephews and nieces, cousins and a large extended family.

Patty was preceded in passing by her brother-in-law Michael Fobes and sisters LaVerne and Charleen Parker, as well as one nephew Mikey Jr. Fobes and Sister-in-law Marie Parker.

Service for Patty will be 1:00p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227 with calling from 10:00a.m. until the hour of service. Inurnment will follow.
