Rocky Painter Obituary

Rocky Lee Painter, 33, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday August 31, 2020, at his residence. He was born in Lafayette, on October 1, 1986 to Randy Painter and Shirley Fritz.

Rocky Lee "Knucklehead" Painter enjoyed listening to, writing, and making music and also spending time with his family and friends. He was fiercely protective of those he loved and he loved with every cell of his being. His smile would melt your heart and his laugh was contagious. Those fortunate enough to truly know him regarded him as one who would give the clothes he was wearing to help a friend in need; one who ended nearly every conversation with those he cared for with "love you"; and one who considered his close friends to be like brothers and sisters, which he often called them. He loved his puppy, Bando, and took him everywhere with him. The things Rocky loved most in this world were his son Christian, and his daughter Marlee. He wanted nothing more than to be a good dad to his son and daughter, and be someone they would be proud of. He was loved by so many who will continue to cherish the time and memories they shared with him. It will be through these stories and memories that Christian and Marlee will grow up knowing what a remarkable, loving, and kind man their father truly was.

Rocky is survived by his loving wife, Karyn Painter; their daughters, Mia (step) and Marlee; Rheanne Ramsey, and their son Christian; (sisters Chloe and Cami); Father, Randy Painter (Momma Kim); Mother, SHirley Fritz; sister, Bridget Suite; brother, Ryan Pitzer (Justine); uncles, Marty, Jerry, Mike, and James Painter; aunt Rexanna Beauchamp; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many more close friends who he considered to be family.

Rocky was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Carole Painter; Grandfather, Henry Charles Fritz; and grandmother, Nancy Lee Underhill-Bailey.
