Scott L Swift

Scott L. Swift passed from this life on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Indianapolis, after a year long battle with cancer. He was born November 5, 1963 in Indianapolis to Jack L. and Betty Jo Jones Swift. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Samuel L. Swift.. Scott is survived by his former wife, Michelle Adams Swift and their son, Calvin Robert Swift; Scott's sister, Stacy (Dennis) White; brother, Jack L. (Valerie) Swift, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.   Scott graduated from Beech Grove High School. He had a long career as a firefighter with Rolls-Royce Corporation and was later employed by the City of Southport. He was truly a man of simple pleasures. Scott and his son together enjoyed every aspect of the outdoors -- camping, fishing, hunting, and time around the backyard fire pit. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to caregivers at the Franciscan Hospice House, members of the Southport Police Department, and especially, long-time family friend, Joni Sanders.

There will be no services according to Scott's wishes.
