Sherrie (Young) Haussecker

Sherrie Haussecker, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019, at her home.

Sherrie was born on October 21, 1960, in Beech Grove, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd “Bill” William and Lelah (Ivory) Young.  She married John Haussecker on June 26, 1987, at Eagle Creek Park.  He survives.

She is also survived by her parents Bill and Lelah Young of Indianapolis; one daughter- Amy Haussecker of Evansville, Indiana; five sons- Benjamin, John, Stephen and David Haussecker all of Bloomington, Indiana and Jeremiah Haussecker of Indianapolis; four brothers- Robert (Debbie) Young of Greenwood, Indiana, Bill (Jane) Young of Fortville, Indiana, Mike (Katina) Young of Greenwood, Indiana and Chris Young of Greenwood, Indiana; one sister- Tammy Wildrick of Greenwood, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Sherrie graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1979 and later graduated from Marian University.  She was a member of the Vineyard Church in Greenfield.  Sherrie enjoyed helping out at the food pantry and helping in child care.

A Celebration of Sherrie Haussecker’s Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe McDaniel officiating.  She will be laid to rest following the services in Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Greenwood.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.  The family has entrusted the Norman F.
