Sherrie Price Obituary

Sherrie Lynn (Craig) Price, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2021.  She was born on November 3, 1957, in Jeffersonville, IN to Charles Edward and Sue (Meredith) Craig. She later moved to Indianapolis and met her beloved husband of 47 years, Buford Price, Jr. Their love for one another was truly unconditional. She enjoyed bowling, camping at Dietz Lake, and her girl’s trips to Nashville, TN for the Country Music Awards and Fan Fair. She loved all kinds of music. She worked as a clerk/manager at Dollar General for 15 years retiring in 1999. Shortly after retiring, one of her joys in life was becoming a grandmother, as to which she earned the name of Mimi. She loved her family near and far with her heart and soul and always looked forward to spending time with them. She also enjoyed planting flowers and landscaping in her yard, interior decorating, crafting, and going Black Friday shopping every year with her family.  She was the organizer of the family and was always there any time to lend a hand. She loved iced tea. She loved her sweets (snick snacks) and was known for her no bake cookies that she would make at Christmas time.

Sherrie is survived by her husband Buford Kenneth Price, Jr.; daughter Christy Kieninger (Jason); granddaughters Gracie Piersall and Kayleigh Kieninger; Mother Sue Craig; sisters Debbie Price and Melissa Partida (Salvador); brothers Edward Craig (Donna) and Charlie Craig (Shannon); brother-in-law Stuart Price (Theora) and sister-in-law Beverly Kelly. She is preceded in death by her Father Charles Craig and her brothers-in-law Elmer, Gary, and Fred Price.

Service for Sherrie will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, with calling from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service. She will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family has requested memorial gifts be made to the Donor’s favorite charity.
