Sherry Jean (Terry) Conaway

Sherry J. Conaway (Terry), aged 84 of Greenfield, IN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Good Friday, April 7, 2023 at Harrison Terrace in Indianapolis. Sherry was born in McGehee, Arkansas  on July 19, 1938 to the late Rev. Henry & Hazel (Bobbitt) Terry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Jarrel & John Terry.  She is survived by her daughters- Karen Meineke and Karla Whisenand (Jon), her brother Julian Terry (Amy) 5 grandchildren and 7 great grand-children.

Sherry graduated from Jackson Central in Arcadia in 1956 and married Richard Conaway that same year.  She lived in Zionsville, Greenwood and Greenfield. She worked at Eli Lilly for 24 years and was a member of multiple organizations. She enjoyed golfing, ballroom dancing, travelling, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family.  She played piano and taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church in Zionsville and later became a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Greenfield. Sherry was generous and thoughtful and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
