Sherry Lynn (Ramsey) Whittington

Sherry Lynn Whittington, 68, of Indianapolis passed away on October 27, 2021.  She was born April 10, 1953 to the late Raymond and Mollie (Nugent) Ramsey. Sherry graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School. On July 30, 1981 she married the love of her life Sherman Douglas “Doug” Whittington.  Sherry was retired from Stoops Freightliner.  Sherry was a loving individuals in many respects, when she wasn’t spending time with her cherished friends, she made and delivered care baskets for local homeless individuals and loved spending time with her dogs Frank, Pepe and Mollie. Sherry had many hobbies such as attending car shows, bike riding, collecting coins, reading and flea market shopping.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband Sherman Douglas “ Doug” Whittington; step-daughters Angie Rowe (Jason Rowe) and Tracy Dallman (Brent Dallman); grandsons Austin, Bryce, Connor, Luke, Evan and Jake; sisters Florine Trego and Charline Clements; niece Robin Deaton (Doug); nephew Rick Sinclair; grand nieces Spring Deaton and Samantha Bilderback. Sherry was preceded in passing her parents Raymond and Mollie (Nugent) Ramsey.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with  Funeral service at  2:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Interment to follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana
