Susan M. (Brewer) Laker

Family Tribute- 

Susan M. Laker, 70 of Indianapolis was called to heaven on July 20, 2024.  She was a 1972 graduate of Roncalli High school, retired from Walmart with over 20 years of service and was a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post 252. 

She is survived by her children Jessica (Josh) Cecil, Richard Laker Jr, and Melissa (Jason) Weaver; 7 grandchildren – Jac, Johnny, Alexis, Derek, David, Jayden, and Lacey. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Lucille Brewer, and siblings Rosie Tetrick, Kent Bauman, and Johnny Bauman. 

She always had a love for painting, was an avid sports fan who loved to attend all of her grandchildren’s various events, as well as of a huge fan of the Colts, Pacers and Fever teams.  She loved spending time with her friends, playing cards and her fellow members at the American Legion. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday July 31, 2024, at St. Roch Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St. Indianapolis.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday July 31, 2024, at St. Roch Church prior to the funeral.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Greenwood American Legion Post 252.
