Vonda Kay French, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away at 8:29 p.m. June 3, 2019, at IU Methodist Hospital.
Vonda was born on April 29, 1964, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Orin James and Beatrice (Nanny) Kingery. She married Danny French on July 28, 1984, in Indianapolis. He survives.
She is also survived by one son- Danny French Jr. of Indianapolis; two granddaughters- Sophie and Ella French; brother- James Orin Kingery of Greenwood; two sisters- Wanda McQueen of Southport and Aline Kingery of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother- Wayne Kingery and sister- Gladys Hughes.
Vonda was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening going to fairs and watching butterflies. One of her greatest enjoyments was watching her grandchildren dance.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Round Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Jesse Mullins officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. The family has entrusted the Norman F. Chance Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Vonda’s life.
