William Owen Obituary
Mr. William Charles Owen, of New Harmony, Indiana, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Deaconess Hospital-Evansville. He was 58. Billy was born February 26, 1962 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, a son of the late Albert Eugene and Ardella May (Mefford) Owen.
Billy attended Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and was self-employed as an auto body repairman. He loved cars and spent much of his leisure time as a mechanic and doing body work. If not working on cars, he could usually be found out in the country.
Billy is survived by his sister, Phyllis Jean Wilkerson; his brothers, Kenneth Owen and Albert Junior Owen as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in passing by his brother, Dennis Duane Owen.
Services will be private with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 S. Lynhurst Dr., Indianapolis has been entrusted with the arrangements.
